Аннотация:In the review main recent results achieved in the field of investigation of physical and chemical properties of single-phase and composite materials for symmetrical solid oxide fuel cells (SSOFC) based on 3d-metal oxides are analysed. Electronic structure and thermodynamic stability of transition metal oxides with the perovskite structure are reviewed. Comprehensive consideration of thermal behaviour, chemical stability, electrical conductivity and electrochemical properties of a wide range of electrode materials based on iron, chromium and manganese containing oxides crystallizing in a perovskite-like and other crystal structure types and is conducted. Based on the analysis, the most promising compositions of electrode materials for SSOFC and effective approaches to improve their functional properties have been identified
