Аннотация:The research and modeling of the icing process isimportant for the aircraft industry, wind power, energy supplyand other areas of human life in the northern regions. In thispaper, we carry out a numerical simulation of the icing of a modelbody using the Euler-Lagrangian (CFD-DEM) approach. Thefree open source package YADE is used to calculate the motionof snow crystals, and the free open source package OpenFOAMis used to simulate flow hydrodynamics. The snowYadeFoamsolver is being developed, based on the icoFoamYade solver forcalculating the interaction of snow crystals with each other andwith a streamlined body. A ”cohesive frictional material” model isused in the calculations, which describes the cohesion of particlesto each other, adhesion of particles to model body and frictionduring their interaction.
