- Аннотация: Radiocarbon dating has meanwhile become the most important argumentations for absolute-chronological dating. Radiocarbon dating as a method is however complicated by obstructs according its accuracies. Values of the radioactive isotopes 14C are not stable in the atmosphere, which result in variations of 14C/13C incorporated into organic matter during photosynthesis. Calibration with systematically measured tree-ring data is thus necessary to narrow down the dating ranges. During several phases of the Bronze Age, however, a series of calibration plateaus occur. Measurements falling in the calibration to this plateaus show practically the same date, even the original events differ for decades or even centuries. Another complication are the so-called reservoir effects, which are the result of the intake of ‘ancient’ carbon components. Pioneer studied to these effects, which shift the dates to a much older age than real, were undertaken by N. Shihslina and J. van der Plicht (Shishlina et al., 2014. Р. 767-78) a decade ago at sits from the Caspian steppe zone. We will now present new data-pairs and isotope-data from this region and from other parts of the steppe zone and the Caucasus piedmonts to evaluate their relation to specific forms of diet. Moreover, thanks to the stratigraphy’s of the mounds from where our data stem, we can start to model them with Bayesian statistics. This will help to enhance the quality of dating of the separate site and the associated Bronze Age Culture.
