Аннотация:The linear theory of bubble oscillations damping in liquid is constructed in the case of free and forced radial oscillations. All the main dissipation mechanisms are considered: thermal, viscous and acoustic. The main assumption made is the uniform pressure inside the bubble and this assumption is justified. The concept of averaging over volume provided the possibility to obtain the answers in clear and easy-to-use form. New asymptotical formulas for free oscillations are proposed. The step-by-step procedure of obtaining the exact value of damping coefficients is thoroughly described. The results obtained may be used in any problems concerning small bubble oscillations, for example to determine the acoustic wave attenuation in bubbly liquid.
