Аннотация:The upcoming Fourth industrial revolution and the respective intensification of Globalization and international competition make acute the need to ensure effective technological development of the national economies and digitalization policies of their governments. Still, the ambiguity of their effects requires a careful analysis of their causes. The goal of the article is to evaluate various digitalization policies in lens of their common and specific features impeding to get positive results.
Further on, the identification of the object of analysis was based on the criteria of Leading & Legacy countries of the Readiness for the Future of Production index, WEF; the "superperformance" of McKinsey group and the economy’s magnitude and role in the global production and development. Thus, Malaysia & India were selected to study the digitalization policies carried out by their governments. Taking into consideration the national statistics limitation of the two countries, the content and the comparative analysis methods preponderated in the study.
From the methodological point of view the study was not limited to a general factor approach to a technology, the digital incl., but extended to a more complex one with the focus on the organizational & managerial business resources development. These characteristics were indispensable to practice the new technological processes being the fromer their organic element.
The comparison of the practices of digitalization policies in Malaysia and India proved that the digitalization policies to be effective required not only a good design and execution by the authorities but the productive business contribution in the sense of its respective organizational and managerial development with its special stimulation in frame of the national digitalization policies.
