Аннотация:New comb-shaped polymeric LC networks containing small admixtures of the laser dye pyromethene were synthesized. Oriented cholesteric networks with the planar structure were prepared by the photoinduccd polymerization of a liquid-crystalline mixture containing nematic, chiral, and bifunctional acrylates in the presence of the laser dye. It was shown that cholesteric single-domain networks might be considered as photonic entities with forbidden bands, which makes it possible to use these as generators of laser radiation by pumping with an external laser. The emergence of narrow laser emission peaks on the edge of the selective-reflection band (575 nm) was detected. The influence of the structure and thickness of such polymer films, as well as the pumping intensity, on the optical properties and characteristics of lasing was studied. The cholesteric polymer networks obtained show promise as optical materials.
