Аннотация:The paper examines main tendencies of language change associated with active linguistic processes observed recently in scientific discourse as a result of globalization of information exchange in the modern society. It is argued that in modern academic discourse there is an active interaction of local languages and the English language, widely used as lingua franca in the field of scientific communication. The interaction is bi-directional and is due to both historically established basic national and cultural models of communication in both hard and soft sciences, that are previously acquired and assimilated by the author of a scientific text through education and research activity, and conscious or unconscious pragmatic and stylistic intentions of the author, directed by the new communicative situation of open global information exchange. Experimental investigation of frequency of use of impersonal evidential markers in the Russian language research articles in Psychology published within the period from 1980 to 2010, witnesses intensive glocalization processes active in the modern global scientific discourse worldwide.
