Аннотация:Main charging characteristics of LiTaO3 ferroelectric crystals under electron beam irradiation are presented. Experiments were carried out in a wide energy range of irradiating defocused electron beams. The main characteristics of the surface potential, the secondary electron emission current and the displacement current were found to be significantly different from those of classical dielectrics. Specifics of charging polarized ferroelectric crystals are due to the presence of a double layer of charges at the surface. We developed the four-layer charge distribution model which describes a superposition of the initial field and the electric field formed as a result of two-layer distribution of charges created under electron beam irradiation.
