Аннотация:The physicomechanical, morphological and sorption parameters of bacterial cellulose (BC) produced on the standard (Hestrin–Schramm) and molasses media have been studied. It was found that, by modifying the medium for cultivation of bacteria, it is possible to significantly vary the plasticity of BC by changing its degree of crystallinity. The BC grown on the standard medium (BCst, 40.4% degree of crystallinity) possesses a 10–20% larger sorption capacity for Pu, Am, and Sr ions (420.6, 724.8, and 1650.2 mL/gm respectively) in distilled water. The BC grown in a molasses medium (BCmel) has a larger degree of crystallinity (60%) and stability in nitric acid media, where it shows a higher efficiency in sorption of radionuclides. The sorption parameters of BCs of both kinds slightly depend on the salt background of a solution and on its content of organic impurities of the types of EDTA and petroleum products.
