Аннотация:Photo and video recording of the decay into fibers of a water drop freely falling into water, saturated solution of ferrous sulfate or alizarin ink was carried out. At the bottom of the cavity, near the contact line, we observed annular capillary waves and thin radial jets (ligaments) transporting the drop material, separated from the sharped crests of the perturbed fluid confluence line. In the splash formation mode, ligaments continue in the crown, penetrate the veil and partially penetrate the thorns at the tops of the sharpening. Traces of ligaments colored by the droplet material form ruled and net structures. Sprays are the sequences of growing small droplets that fly out from the tops of thorns, the size and angular position of which change over time. Additional acceleration of the fluid in the jets is associated with the conversion of the available potential energy upon the annihilation of the merging fluids free surfaces.
