Аннотация:The leading place in the world in terms of mortality is currently occupied by diseases of the
cardiovascular (CVD) system. According to statistics, the death rate from CVD was 32% of the total mortality over the world according to World Health Organization. In the advanced form, the most serious diseases (such as angina pectoris)
develop into critical or chronic heart failure. Critical, drug- resistant heart failure is diagnosed in 2.5 million patients worldwide each year. One of the most effective methods of its
treatment, along with donor heart transplantation and electrocardiostimulation, is the use of mechanical bypass systems of the left ventricle of the natural heart. A brief overview of the methods of auxiliary blood circulation used in clinical practice is provided. The main focus is on the pulsatile type of auxiliary blood circulation systems, as the most effective and close to the artificial heart system. The basic principles of functioning of such systems are explained. During
the development of the system, both classical as well as completely new schemes and methods of building were used. The conclusion is made about the possibility of applying the results of the study of implantable systems and their use in
clinical practice for the purpose of short-term support of blood circulation in patients affected by accidents and awaiting final diagnosis, as well as for supporting donor organs with perfusion during their transportation to the place of transplant surgery.
