Аннотация:During the Cretaceous, the mountainous southern part of the Crimean Peninsula occupied a position which was transitional between the Boreal and Tethyan realms, best described as peri-Tethyan. The geodynamic evolution of this terrane was related to rifting, to the opening of the Black Sea Basin, as well as to tectonic processes in the Pontides. The Cretaceous history of the Bakhchisaray area can be subdivided into three stages, namely Valanginian-Aptian, earlymiddle Albian and late Albian-Maastrichtian. Stages are separated
by intervals of regression, emergence or rifting.
