Аннотация:A model for laser-induced electrolytic deposition on a semiconductor surface is developed. The laser induces two effects in the surface: thermal heating, which results in a thermal potential, and the Dember effect, in which excited electrons and holes diffuse at different rates. The model is compared with experiment, and the ring-shaped deposit discovered is reproduced in the calculation.
