Аннотация:Technological pollution of the natural environment is one of the most significant factors of its anthropogenic transformation. Oil pollution has a particularly dangerous impact on the state of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; the largest sources of these pollutions are industrial and transport accidents, as a result of which spills of oil and oil products can reach catastrophic scales. The article analyzes the information of the author's database on technological and natural-technological emergency situations occurring in Russia since 1991. The main sources of accidental releases of hydrocarbons and oil pollution of the natural environment are identified; the geographical distribution and frequency of occurrence of such accidents in Russia are analyzed. The regions of the greatest danger of emergencies on main oil pipelines, railway and water transport with oil and oil product spills are identified. An assessment of the risk of emergencies with an accidental release of pollutants was carried out. Regions most at risk are revealed.
