Аннотация:The composition and kinetics of the reassociation of DNA, isolated from the chromatin nuclear membrane complex at different stages of the cell cycle of rat liver cells, were investigated. The complex, isolated in solutions with low ionic strength, contains approxim. 9% of the total DNA content in the nucleus and has a density in sucrose solutions of 1.27 g/cm3. The DNA isolated from the complex of chromatin with the nuclear membrane is homogeneous in molecular weight (approxim. 2x106 daltons) and is similar to the total nuclear DNA in nucleotide composition. The DNA of the complexes obtained from nuclei in the interphase and at different stages of the S period differ from the total nuclear DNA in kinetics of reassociation: The DNA of the complexes is about 10% enriched with unique sequences. Judging by the similarity of the kinetics of reassociation, the molecular population of DNA bound to the nuclear membrane does not change appreciably during the cell cycle.
