Vapor-phase deposition of polymer siloxane coatings on the surface of copper and low-carbon steelстатья

- Аннотация: Condensation of organosilane molecules and formation of polymer-like films from a gas-vapor medium on steel and copper substrates were studied. It was shown that by choosing optimal conditions it is possible to form siloxane polymer films with a thickness of more than 300 nm, which provide good protection against corrosion. The films were formed using two types of organosilanes: vinyltrimethoxysilane and aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The relationship between chemical structures and structural features of these molecules and formation kinetics and protective properties of the polymer coatings on mild steel and copper was studied. The chemical composition and thickness of these coatings were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was shown that presence of water vapor and copolymers (benzotriazole, phosphonic acid) in the gas-vapor phase lead to a significant thickening of the polymer film. The anticorrosion properties of such films in chloride-containing media were studied by electrochemical methods and corrosion tests in a salt fog chamber. Voltammetric studies and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy allow us to conclude that the films obtained from water-silane mixtures with copolymers of 1,2,3-1H-benzotriazole and phosphonic acid have a high protective effect. Such films are more effective than individual components and have excellent anti-corrosion properties on mild steel and M1 copper. The results of accelerated corrosion tests under 100% humidity with periodic moisture condensation on the samples confirmed the results of electrochemical tests.
