Аннотация:From analysis of thermodynamic cycle with concentrated entropy source the necessary condition for thermodynamic consistency of the binary adsorption isotherms is derived. It is shown that linear isotherms and Langmuir isotherms are thermodynamically consistent over the whole range of gas mixture composition variation. At the same time combination of exponential isotherm with the power m>1 for the strongly sorbed component with a Langmuir isotherm for a weaker sorbed component leads to thermodynamic inconsistency. The obtained condition can be used as test at analyzing experimental and model binary adsorption isotherms.
