- Аннотация: The purpose of the present paper was to determine the provenance areas of sediments of the Upper Visean Solnechnaya Formation (Southern Urals) by U–Pb dating of detrital zircons. A sample of 138 zircon grains with a discordance range of ±10% was selected for age dating. The majority of zircons yielded Ordovician and Cambrian ages. The main peak corresponds to the beginning of the Ordovician (c. 480 Ma), and the local peaks, to the beginning of the Late Ordovician, middle Cambrian, and early Cambrian. The clastic material was supplied exclusively from the East Uralian Megazone.
