Аннотация:It has been shown by corrosion and electrochemical methods that chamber treatment of zinc-plated steel with 2-ethylhexanoic acid significantly increases its corrosion resistance due to passivation of the coating and a growth of its resistance against local anionic depassivation. The optimal conditions for chamber treatment of zinc-plated steel are as follows: temperature 100°C, duration 1 h. The anticorrosive after-effect of the adsorption films of 2-ethylhexanoic acid increases on one-day exposure of zinc-plated steel to ambient conditions after chamber treatment. The protective action of 2-ethylhexanoic acid as a chamber corrosion inhibitor has a mixed activation-blocking mechanism, with predominance of blocking effects.
