- Аннотация: Abstract: the research is devoted to the issue of defining the cultural code within the framework of the linguocultural paradigm. The article also discusses main characteristics of the code. The research paper considers one of the key concepts of linguoculturology – the cultural code as a means that makes it possible to decipher the cultural meaning in language signs. This paper uses methods of description, systematization and analysis of theoretical material. The author tries to give the own definition of the ethnic communicative code.Keywords: code, cultural code, linguocultural code, ethnos, ethnolanguage, semiotics.
