Аннотация:The literature describes the results of a large number of works indicating how a virtual environment influences the psychophysiological parameters and the emotional state of a person, but the data presented are largely contradictory. Most respondents report a stronger engagement when perceiving information or experiencing emotions in the virtual environment, but objective autonomic indicators are more ambiguous. Heart rate variability (HRV) parameters are frequently used as valid indicators of different emotional and bodily states in humans. The study aimed to reveal the most sensitive HRV indicators that change when watching scary video in a VR helmet and on the screen in relation to the subjective assessment of the content valence.
