Аннотация:Abstract—Daphnia longispina and other large cladocerans are active filterers, consuming algae and other sus-pended matter. Undigested particles sink to the bottom and are further involved in the biotic cycle. The absence ofplanktivorous fish favors the development of large zooplanktonic species showing high filtration activity. Owingto filtration activity, zooplankton can clarify water masses. Keywords: cyanobacteria, zooplankton, water body eutrophication, planktivorous fish, zooplankton pellets, nitrogenand phosphorus in water, ephippial females, water transparencyDOI: 10.1134/S1070363224130243
