Аннотация:Переведено как Internal warming up and slip of glaciers, Doklady Akademii Nauk SSSR, 1973, 212(3), 577–579; а также как Internal heating and sliding of glaciers, Soviet Physics - Doklady, 1974, 18(9), 601–602 и On the internal heating and sliding of glaciers. In 34 selected papers on main ideas of the Soviet glaciology, 1940s–1980s / Kotlyakov V.M. (ed.), pages 250–254. Institute of Geography RAS, Glaciological Association of Russia Moscow. Glacier motion is considered as a one-dimensional problem of the flow of a viscous incompressible layer under gravity along an inclined plane, taking due account of the conduction of heat through the layer. Thickness and inclination angle have the greatest influence on glacial sliding. The glacier slides when the ice at the interface reaches melting point.
