- Аннотация: Acasestudy ispresentedofwhistler wavesinthefrequencybandsbelowandabovehalfthe electrongyrofrequencyobservedbyVanAllenProbeB intheequatorialregionoutsidetheplasmapause.Based onsimultaneousmeasurementsof electrondifferential fluxes,wecalculatethelineargrowthratecandspatial amplification factor c/vg (vg is themagnitude of the group velocity) as functions of frequency andwave normal angle, taking into consideration three main cyclotron resonances. Calculated quantities, with the accountofrelativepositionoftheobservationpointand thegenerationregion, permit one toexplain themain featuresof theobservedspectrum.Thereasonsfor two maxima in the dependence of the growth rate on frequencyandthecorrespondingtwo-bandstructurein theobservedspectrumarediscussed.
