Аннотация:In this paper, time-resolved infrared thermographic imaging was used for the quantitative analysis of water pulsations in a thin near-wall layer and their turbulence spectra. Experiments were conducted to study the process of mixing of hot water, impinging the wall from the inside of the vessel filled with cold water. Thermal patterns of wall jet impingement were detected through the infrared-transparent wall by a high-speed infrared camera. Submerged circular jets were considered. The capability of IR thermography to perform high frequency non-isotermal turbulent near-wall water pulsations analysis was studied.
