Аннотация:The article deals with the theme of solitude in the thought of Abu Bakr Ibn Bajja, the renown phailasuf (Aristotelian philosopher) of medieval Spain. the ontology of Aby Bakr has a psychological background and he was looking for a solution to combine inner unity and external alienation from worldly affairs. In the treatise Tadbir al-mutawahhid Ibn Bajja was also trying to combine physics (or psychology) with the metaphysical imperative. Considering the work of the Andalusian philosopher in the already purely medieval perspective of ‘distancing’, it can be stated that he, of course, not only builds a holistic program like the great philosophers of the Islamic tradition, but also stands on the position of strict ontological and ethical monism. e only way that leads us to the virtuous city is the path of rationality. Rejection of a rational procedure is dangerous not only for confusion, but also for immorality. Two paths lead to such perfection: rational analysis and synthesis, on the one hand, and contact, connection (ittiṣāl) with Actual Intelligence, on the other.
