Аннотация:Cold nuclear fusion (CNF) can be ensued by the usually
rejected singular solution of the Schrödinger equation for an
atom. This solution (when an atom is confined inside mat-
ter), though singular, is normalizable. Its energy level is
shown to be lower than the level of the usual ground state
of the free atom. The possibility of CNF because of nucleus
charge screening provided by the electron in the singular
state is discussed.
