Аннотация:Emultion for liquid membrane extraction have been studied. The internal phase of emulsions consisted of an isotonic buffer solution. The external phase was paraffin oil. Surfactant was Span 80 or Hostacerin DGO. Ethanol and ether were also used as emulsion components for cholesterol recovery from recovery from biological liquids. It was shown that diffusion of ethanol and ether from the internal phase into the biological liquid caused formation of a microemulsion in the membrane. This fact was confirmed by photomicrographs and estimation of the diffusion and mass transfer coefficients of ethanol and ether in the liquid membrane. Formation of the microemulsion increased the specific interface in the emulsion. As a result, cholesterol extraction increased because of adsorption and also the emulsion became stabilized.
