Long-term variability in the magnetic field of the roAp star γ Equстатья

- Аннотация: We present a new analysis of the secular variability in the longitudinal magnetic field Bz of the roAp star γ Equ (HD 201601). Measurements of the magnetic field Bz collected from the literature were combined with 33 new Bz measurements obtained with the 6-m telescope of the SAO. All the available data cover a time that includes the phases of both maximum and minimum Bz. We found that the period of the longterm magnetic Bz variations is equal to P = (93Ѓ}3) yr, with Bz (max) = +593 G and Bz (min) = −1133 G. Fitting the measurements with a double sine-wave function resulted in two periods, P1 = 87.8 yr and P2 = 16.9 yr.
