Аннотация: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) plays a significant role in triggering andmaintaining chronic inflammation in the myocardium in heart failure with preservedejection fraction (HFpEF). Monocytes are involved in pro-inflammatory and fibroticprocesses, while T-cells regulate inflammatory reactions in the hypertrophiedmyocardium.In this study we analyzed T-cell and monocyte blood counts in patients with HFpEFdepending on the presence of T2DM.
