Аннотация:Cuckoos, Cuculus canorus and C. optatus, are a brood parasite which tricks other species of birds into caring for its eggs and chicks. There are a lot of data on cuckoo vocalization, but at the same time there are no data on vocalization variability of nestlings raised in nests of different mentor-species.There are no data on such abilities of Common and Oriental cuckoo. We described the chick vocal repertoire and the vocal development in Common and Oriental cuckoo raised by different species. We analyzed sounds in Avisoft-SAS Lab Pro and Raven pro 1.4. programs. Mechanisms of juvenile acoustic signals transformation to adult one and reasons of changes during growing were studied. During breeding season there is a change of two types of begging signals for both cuckoo species. After leaving a nest chicks started to produce calls of fledgling and trill, that were produced in chicks excitement moments. Modified begging signal remain with grown chicks as a greeting signal in a moment of feeder man arriving.
