Аннотация:As was shown in Refs. 1,2) a fine structure of the distributions of the total kinetic energy vs mass (TKE-M) of the products of a nuclear reaction turn to be a source of the non-trivial information about the reaction mechanism. The fine structure (FS) under discussion looks
like narrow ridges of increased yields at a smooth domelike “substrate”. At low excitation energies the FS of two types are observed 3)
. The ridges oriented nearly parallel to the TKE axis are associated with the proton odd-even effect. Along with these ridges wave-like structures being presumably the images of the fission modes are observed (see
the model distribution in Fig. 1). The algorithms applied to the FS analysis
in Ref. 3) at some stages of the data processing are based on a heuris
tic approach. The experience of using the morphological methods of the image analysis (MMIA) in various fields of physics and technology 4) lets
us to assume that the sensitivity enhancement, the improvement of a noise-immunity and the increased objectivity of FS revealing
procedure can be achieved by means of the application of MMIA.
