Аннотация:The kinetics of individual and combined peroxide oxidation of target products of the catalytic hydroxylation of phenol to dihydroxybenzenes, i.e., pyrocatechol and hydroquinone, in the presence of homogeneous catalysts (iron sulfate and its complex with pyrocatechol:) is studied under conditions typical of this process. The series of one-factor experiments results in the development of mathematical models that adequately describe the principles observed. The possible mechanism of individual and combined oxidation of dihydroxybenzenes is discussed.
