Аннотация:Binding isotherms for radioactive 7-[ 3H]-tetracycline with transcription repressor protein TetR(D) were obtained. Apparent association constants (aK a) were calculated from the general equation of bimolecular interaction and also by linearization according to Scatchard. The values of aK a were found to be equal to (0.10 ± 0.04) × 10 9 M -1 and (0.13 ± 0.05) × 10 9 M -1, respectively. Based on comparison with the results obtained earlier by fluorescence spectroscopy, the authors arrived at the conclusion that it is necessary to develop a method for determination of a protein fraction which will be active for binding tetracycline.
