Аннотация:The influence of bridging groups in the chemical structures on gas separation ability and other physical properties of a number of selected polyimides is analyzed on a system “one polymer-different gases”. The values of glass transition temperature, density, permeability and diffusion coefficients are taken from our own or from other’s published articles. All the data are comparatively analyzed in correlation with the calculated conformational parameters of the polymer chains. The study regarding the overall selectivity of these polymers shows that the main effect is due to the bridging group located between the imide cycles.
