Аннотация:This review presents the modern understanding of the physics of magnetized planet magnetospheres in the solar system and of the magnetospheric magnetic field structure. In the interiors of Mercury, the Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, their intrinsic magnetic fields are generated under the action of the dynamo mechanism. Their magnetic fields are strong enough to sustain the solar wind flow. The magnetosphere surrounding a planet forms during the interaction of the solar wind with the planetary magnetic field. The magnetospheric dynamics is mainly determined by solar wind variations. The magnetosphere of each planet is unique. In this review, the common and individual magnetic field sources and properties of planetary magnetospheres are discussed.
